Simple Steps to Keep Your Vehicle Safe – Keyless ignition owners should use a Faraday pouch for their fob. All drivers should consider a steering lock, park in well – lit visible areas, lock their vehicle, remove valuables, and ensure windows, sunroof, and wing mirrors are closed/ folded. Unfolded mirrors may signal an unlocked car to thieves.
What has been happening? Good news –
Over the festive period we have continued making arrests to safeguard victims over their Christmas Holidays.
We arrested a male for assault after he had punched his ex-partner in the face causing a bruise. We also arrested a male for non-fatal strangulation against his partner.
Female arrested for witness intimidation against a very high-risk domestic offending case which include assaults and controlling behaviour. The domestic offender was charged in September and remanded in prison for court in March 2026. By making this arrest for witness intimidation, we have allowed the victim to be more confident in supporting the prosecution for domestic.
The team also arrested a male for persistently breaching a Community Protection Notice which is in place to keep our communities safe. He will appear in court later.
The officers have done all this whilst also doing shifts on special vans patrolling Solihull Town Centre, Nec and Resorts World during the festive period.
Your local PCSO’s have been out and about patrolling Castle Bromwich, Smiths Wood and Kingshurst and conducting house to house and visiting victims for the crimes that have happened during this period.
